The people who get forgotten
Most couples plan the bride's car first, and rightly so. But on the morning there are usually several other people who need to be in exactly the right place: bridesmaids, a mother of the bride, flower girls, perhaps a grandparent who would rather not drive. If they arrive late, the ceremony waits. Planning their transport alongside the main car removes that risk entirely.
One larger car or two smaller ones
The simplest solution for a bridal party is the seven-seat Mercedes V-Class. Everyone travels together, arrives together and can be photographed stepping out together. Captain's chairs keep dresses from creasing and the sliding doors are wide enough for a full skirt. It usually leaves the house first so the party are seated before the bride arrives.
For parents or grandparents, a saloon can feel more personal. The Audi A6 is comfortable and discreet, while the Mercedes S500 long-wheelbase gives extra legroom and presence. Some couples book the S500 for the groom and his parents, and the A6 for grandparents.
Building the order of cars
A typical morning with two cars looks like this: the V-Class collects the bridal party and a parent, leaves a short while ahead, and arrives at the ceremony with time to settle. The main car, often the Rolls-Royce Phantom, follows with the bride and whoever is walking her down the aisle. Both chauffeurs work from the same itinerary, so timings are coordinated rather than left to chance.
After the ceremony the order can reverse: the couple leave first for photographs, and the family car follows to the reception.
Multi-day and Asian weddings
For celebrations spread over several days, family transport matters even more. Relatives may need moving between a mehndi, the main ceremony and a reception at different venues. The V-Class is particularly useful here, and booking the same chauffeur across the days means one person already knows the family, the addresses and the plan.
What this is and is not
This is chauffeur-driven transport for the bridal party and close family using our four cars. It is not coach or minibus hire for large guest lists. If you need to move dozens of guests, a coach operator is the right choice; for the handful of people who must be on time and look their best, a chauffeured car is ideal.
Timing the second car
The second car should arrive at the ceremony early enough for its passengers to be seated, have a quick word with the officiant or usher, and be settled before the bride's car comes into view. In practice that means leaving the house a comfortable interval ahead of the main car; we agree the exact gap with you once venues and journey times are known.
Where family members are being collected from different addresses, the routes are planned so nobody sits waiting for long. Older relatives are helped in and out of the car and the chauffeur makes sure any walking aids or bags travel with them.
After the reception drop-off, the booking is complete unless further journeys were arranged. If you would like a grandparent taken home earlier in the evening, include that in the enquiry and it will be part of the fixed quote.
